i went up to st pats to day and the whole river just looked like one big pond i couldn't get near it we finished 2002 with the nearly the same amount of rain as 2000 (4.6mms in it) to make it even...

Thats a cracking Grayling.Got a trip to the Test on the 18th Jan and the Frome at the end of Febuary.I'm begining to wonder if the river will be fishable even by then.

my trip friday to a new bit of the test i think is firmly off as it is about 3fields wide at the mo, up to year2000 hieght in places should be alright in acouple of weeks time though (hopefully) chris...

Sounds daft, I know, but at least the Kennet will be back to normal in a few days...we need all the lovely high water we can - remember come June there will be hosepipe bans - mark my words !

But be careful Guys. I waded out to my Loddon swim this morning, the only one I could reach...and after 2 hours it had come up 3 inches on the river......and 2 foot behind me in the field! Waist high...
